Media Coverage of Occupy SFSU Camp Shutdown on December 21, 2011
Here is some media coverage of the Occupy SFSU camp shutdown on December 21, 2011:
Occupy SFSU Camp Cleared
The Occupy SFSU camp has been cleared. About 50 officers in riot gear showed up around 5 a.m. as the last of the campers were taking down their tents. No one was detained or arrested. The administration wasn’t willing to allow students to wait until daylight to break down their tents. Most of the communal and personal property (books, tents, sleeping bags, etc.) has been safely moved to an offsite area for storage.
Possible Raid of Occupy SFSU Camp
A representative of the SFSU administration indicated around 9pm on December 20 that campers will likely soon be asked to leave.
If you have left any belongings at the camp, please consider removing and storing them.
The university shuts down for winter break and facilities will not be available until January 3.
